Turkey’s HRC exports up 36.7 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports increased by 36.7 percent year on year to 113,666 metric tons, down 6.5 percent month on month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $35.5 million, falling 8.2 percent month on month and down 23.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.


 
In January of the current year, Italy ranked first among Turkey's HRC export destinations, with its HRC imports from Turkey amounting to 29,928 mt, compared to 2,146 mt in the corresponding month of the previous year, followed by Egypt which received 22,147 mt of HRC from Turkey in the given period.
