Turkey's HRC exports up 98.73 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports decreased by 0.63 percent year on year to 96,463 metric tons, while increasing by 67,98 percent compared to the previous month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $55.38 million, decreasing by 3.61 percent year on year and up by 66.14 percent compared to October.

On the other hand, in January-November last year, Turkey's HRC export volume almost doubled, rising by 98.73 percent year on year to 1.21 million mt. The value of these exports totaled $713.50 million, increasing by 79.40 percent year on year.

In the first 11 months of 2013, Turkey's HRC exports to Italy rose by 118.61 percent, while the country's HRC exports to Portugal increased by a massive 722.90 percent and HRC exports to the US surged by 265.49 percent, all compared to November 2012. In the meantime, Turkey's HRC exports to Spain in the given month doubled (up 109.58 percent) on year-on-year basis.
