Turkey’s HRC imports up 10.3 percent in January-June

In June this year, Turkey’s hot rolled coil (HRC) imports amounted to 430,599 metric tons, down by 26.7 percent compared to May and up by 28.7 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue of these imports totaled $322.63 million, declining by 22.2 percent compared to May and by 1.7 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-June period of this year, Turkey’s HRC imports amounted to 2.40 million mt, up by 10.3 percent compared to the same period of last year, while the revenue of these imports totaled $1.64 billion, decreasing by 16.2 percent year on year.
