In January this year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) imports increased by 52.2 percent year on year to 427,481 metric tons, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These imports had a value of $129.7 million, falling 16.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
In January of the current year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's HRC imports sources, with its HRC exports to Turkey amounting to 175,349 mt, up 51.8 percent compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, followed by the UK which shipped 81,079 mt of HRC to Turkey in the given period.
