Turkey’s Kardemir halts rebar shipments for 20 days

Turkey-based integrated steelmaker Kardemir has announced that it halted its rebar shipments for 20 days.
 
The company said that the shipments have been halted for 20 days due to an obligatory shutdown of the rolling mill on May 27 due to a technical failure. The steelmaker added that maturity of cheques and letters of credit related to shipments have been extended by 20 days.
