Turkey’s Kardökmak commissions forged steel investment

Turkey-based Döküm Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ (Kardökmak), a subsidiary of integrated long steel producer Kardemir Karabük Demir Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Kardemir) has commissioned a $5 million forged steel investment, according to media reports.

With the given investment, the company plans to annually produce 20,000 mt of forged steel.

It has been reported that the 2,500-ton press machine, which will initially forge wheels and axles for railways, will later manufacture rolling mill rolls and tool steel.
