Turkey’s PPGI exports down 30 percent in January from December

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 4,734 mt, decreasing by 30 percent compared to the previous month and down 51.6 percent year on year, while the revenue from these exports totaled $3.7 million, down 28.8 percent month on month and falling 57.7 percent compared to the same month of 2015. 
 
Libya was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in January, with imports of 1,229 mt of PPGI from Turkey. In the given period, Libya was followed by Bulgaria and Greece, with Bulgaria's PPGI imports from Turkey amounting to 665 mt, while Greece received 528 mt of PPGI from Turkey in this period.
