Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of 2011 Turkey's steel billet exports declined by 33.25 percent to 2.14 million metric tons, while the revenue for these exports stood at $1.45 billion, down by 15.86 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
In the January-November period this year, Turkey's steel billet exports to Saudi Arabia decreased by 4.85 percent, while its steel billet exports to Egypt increased by 57.6 percent, both compared to the same period last year. Italy's steel imports from Turkey increased by 160.9 percent in January-November on year-on-year basis.
