Turkey’s steel export volume up 0.2 percent in January-June

In the January-June period of this year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 0.2 percent year on year to 8.47 million mt, while the value of these exports decreased by 15.6 percent year on year to $6.24 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD). 
 
In the given period, Turkey's long steel exports rose by 0.6 percent to 5.26 million mt, while flat steel exports increased by 13.3 percent to 1.28 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
 
In June this year, Turkey's steel exports grew by 17 percent to 1.54 million mt, with a value of $1.03 billion, up 4.5 percent, both year on year.
