Turkey’s steel export volume up by 3.2 percent in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period of this year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 3.2 percent year on year to 2.85 million mt, while the value of these exports decreased by 21.8 percent year on year to $1.63 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD). 
 
In February alone, Turkey’s steel exports increased by 4.7 percent year on year to 1.54 million mt.
 
Turkey's semi-finished exports have continued to decline in 2016. In the given period, Turkey's semi-finished exports decreased by 55 percent on year-on-year basis to 32,000 mt. In the January-February period of this year, flat steel exports of the country increased by 44 percent to 377,000 mt, while its long steel exports rose by 0.6 percent to 1.86 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
