Turkey’s steel export volume up by three percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's steel exports increased by three percent year on year to 1.33 million mt, according to the data released by the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD). In the given month Turkey's steel pipe exports totaled 131,000 mt, down 11.8 percent year on year. 

In January this year, Turkey's semi finished exports were reduced to almost zero. In the mentioned month, Turkey's long steel exports increased by 11.4 percent to 880,000 mt, while its flat steel exports rose by 19.2 percent to 179,000 mt, both on year-on-year basis.
