Turkey’s steel imports from China fell by 32.9 percent in January

As stated by the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), Turkey’s steel imports from China that rose by 199 percent to 3 million mt in 2015 fell by 32.9 percent to 121,000 mt in January this year compared to the 180,000 mt recorded in January 2015.

In the month in question, Turkey's semi-finished import from China increased by 44 percent to 43,000 mt whereas flat steel imports decreased by 60 percent to 37,000 mt, both compared to January last year.
