In April this year, Turkey’s welded pipe exports amounted to 130,969 metric tons, down by 46.0 percent compared to March and by 11.3 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $126.78 million, decreasing by 46.1 percent compared to the previous month and by 16.8 percent year on year.
In the January-April period, Turkey's welded pipe exports amounted to 643,400 mt, up 10.5 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 10.4 percent to $641.09 million, both year on year.
In the given period, Turkey’s largest welded pipe export destination was Romania which received 117,639 mt, up 46.3 percent year on year. Romania was followed by the US with 69,557 mt and the United Kingdom with 54,795 mt.
