Turkey’s welded pipe exports up 15.2 percent in January-May

In May this year, Turkey’s welded pipe exports amounted to 206,283 metric tons, up by 70.1 percent compared to April and by 39.1 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $191.30 million, increasing by 62.6 percent compared to the previous month and by 24.6 percent year on year.

In the January-May period, Turkey's welded pipe exports amounted to 841,369 mt, up 15.2 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 12.3 percent to $824.14 million, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey’s largest welded pipe export destination was Romania which received 161,719 mt, up 62.9 percent year on year. Romania was followed by the US with 85,154 mt and the United Kingdom with 66,411 mt.
