Turkey’s wire rod exports down 4.02 percent in January

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 4.02 percent year on year to 72,092 metric tons, up 16.22 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $24.7 million, up 14.3 percent month on month and falling 36.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In January, Egypt ranked first among Turkey's wire rod export destinations with imports totaling 33,289 mt, followed by Libya which imported 11,803 mt of wire rod from Turkey, while Israel imported 7,227 mt.
