In June this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 44,034 metric tons, up by 10.6 percent compared to May and down by 51.1 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $29.73 million, increasing by 9.7 percent compared to May and dropping by 63.4 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the January-June period of this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 239,742 metric tons, down 59.5 percent compared to the same period of last year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $168.79 million, falling by 66.8 percent year on year.
