Turkish metal manufacturing capacity usage up 1.5% in Sep over Aug

According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in September this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 77.1 percent, rising 1.5 percentage points compared to the previous month and down 1.8 percentage points compared to September 2011.

Meanwhile, in September of the current year the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, rose by one percentage points year on year to 70.9 percent, up slightly from 70.5 percent recorded in August.

The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was at 74 percent in September this year, indicating a slight decrease of 0.3 percentage points compared to August and down from 76.2 percent in September 2011.
