Turkish motor vehicle output down five percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 97,589 units, declining by five percent year on year and down by 22.4 percent month on month, according to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD).
 
In January alone, passenger car output amounted to 58,205 units, decreasing by four percent, while commercial car output totaled 39,384 units, down by seven percent, both on year-on-year basis.
 
The overall production capacity utilization rate of the Turkish automotive industry was 68 percent in January this year.
