Turkish PPGI imports up 116.3 percent in January

In January, Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) imports amounted to 7,624 mt, rising by 111.5 percent compared to the previous month and up 116.3 percent year on year, while the revenue from these imports totaled $4.8 million, up 33.3 percent year on year and rising by 50.4 percent month on month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
  
In the given month, China ranked first among Turkey's PPGI import sources, supplying 5,162 metric tons, up 245.98 percent year on year. China was followed by India and Belgium, with their PPGI exports to Turkey amounting to 1,596 metric tons and 295 metric tons respectively.
