Turkish rebar exports up 18.9 percent in January-April

In April this year, Turkey's rebar export volume increased by 64.3 percent year on year and by 23.1 percent month on month to 276,039 metric tons, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these exports totaled $162.24 million, up 37.1 percent year on year and 20.9 percent month on month.

In the January-April period, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 1.06 million mt, up 18.9 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 3.6 percent to $608.75 million, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey exported 171,084 mt of rebar to Yemen, down 6.3 percent year on year, with Yemen ranking as Turkey's leading rebar export destination, ahead of Romania which received 100,279 mt in the given period. Romania was followed by Israel with 75,972 mt, down 63.8 percent year on year.
