The UK-based steel distributor ASD Limited has announced that it has acquired the assets of the UK-based hot rolled steel and reversing mill plate processor and service center Atlantic Steel Processing in Birkenhead, Merseyside, in line with its expansion strategy. This acquisition is expected to provide ASD with improved access to markets in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, enabling more cost-effective distribution to these areas.
With the acquisition, ASD will expand its range of steel products, including de-coiled hot rolled sheets and reversing mill plate. This diversification is expected to attract new customers and potentially increase ASD’s market share in the steel distribution industry.
