Ukraine forecasts 10 percent rise in July steel product output

According to Ukraine's minister for industrial policy Vladimir Novitsky, in July the country's steel product output is expected to increase by 10 percent to 2.224 million mt compared to June.

Due to the improvement in the world market, steel product prices in the export markets and daily average steel output in Ukraine started to go up, Mr. Novitsky stated, adding that the July steel production results are expected to be the best in the current year, as it is uncertain how long the revival of steel demand will continue.

In June, Ukraine produced 2.022 million mt of finished steel products - down 4.4 percent compared to May.
