According to the data for the first eleven months of 2009, Ukrainian exports of steel pipes decreased by 25.5 percent to about 1.26 million mt, its semi-finished steel product exports dropped by 8.3 percent to 10.59 million mt, its exports of flat rolled steel decreased by 27.3 percent to about 5.56 million mt, and its exports of long steel dropped by 14.5 percent to 4.475 million mt, all compared to the corresponding period of 2008.
On the other hand, in January-November this year Ukraine registered a 29.9 percent decrease year on year in its ferroalloy exports to 686,270 mt, a 1.7 percent decline in its pig iron exports to about 1.256 million mt, and a 14.8 percent decrease in its coke exports to 812,340 mt, all compared to January-November 2008.
Meanwhile, during the first eleven months of this year, Ukraine increased its iron ore exports by 15.4 percent year on year to 24.665 million mt and its scrap exports by 37.6 percent year on year to 823,210 mt.
