It is reported that the Ukraine's government is considering the cancellation benefits for several domestic steel producers, including Azovstal, a subsidiary of the Ukrainian iron ore and steel producing company Metinvest Holding, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, and two companies of Industrial Union of Donbass (IUD), for the non-submission of information on their prices of steel products sold in the domestic and foreign markets.
As SteelOrbis previous reported, within the framework of the memorandum of understanding with the country's mining and metallurgical companies, the Ukrainian cabinet of ministers by its decision No. 925, dated October 14 2008, granted for the companies in question benefits, i.e. imposed a moratorium on the increase of railway transportation and electricity supply tariffs. However, according to the agreement, the companies are to submit information on their average prices of products, which are sold in the domestic market or exported.
The benefits for the Ukraine's mining and metallurgical companies were extended until October 1, 2009.
