The Ukrainian parliament has announced that it has been presented with a draft law regarding tariff regulations for scrap.

The draft law proposes to impose a €35/mt export duty on scrap including stainless scrap, for three years, to reduce the deficit of scrap in the domestic market in order to meet scrap needs for the defense industry and the reconstruction of infrastructure. On the other hand, no import duty is suggested for scrap.
