Ukraine’s crude steel output up 1.7 percent in February over January

In February of the current year, Ukraine's crude steel output increased by 1.7 percent month on month and 24.1 percent year on year to 1.97 million mt, according to the data issued by Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom.

In the given month, country’s pig iron output decreased by 1.8 percent month on month and increased by 31.5 percent year on year to 1.88 million mt, while its finished steel production increased by 10.1 percent month on month and 33.1 percent year on year to 1.78 million mt.

In March, Ukraine is expected to produce around 2 million mt of pig iron, 2 million mt of crude steel, and 1.8 million mt of finished steel.
