Within the framework of its reconstruction program, Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works named after F. Dzerzhinsky (DMKD), a subsidiary of the Ukrainian steelmaker Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), plans to construct a new beam rolling mill.

The new beam rolling mill is expected to allow DMKD to expand its range of competitive and profitable products. The mill is to produce equal angles in the 140-240 mm size range, channels of 160-140 mm size, beams of different types of 160-190 mm size, and also sheet piles of 400 mm to 750 mm base dimensions. The length of the rolled sections will be up to 24 m. The production capacity of the new beam rolling mill will amount to one million mt of products per year, representing a production rate of 230 mt per hour.

For the production of finished products at its new beam rolling mill, DMKD is to use continuous cast billets from its new concasters, and also possibly slabs.
