Ukraine’s DMZ posts lower finished steel output for Jan-May, higher metallurgical coke output

Ukrainian billet, long steel and rail producer Dnipro Metallurgical Plant (DMZ), a part of DCH Group, has announced its production results for May and the first five months of the current year.

In the given month, DMZ’s finished steel output amounted to 7,900 mt, up by seven percent year on year and down by 27.3 percent month on month, while the company’s metallurgical coke production fell by 26.0 percent year on year and rose by 5.2 percent compared to April to 25,300 mt.

Meanwhile, in the January-May period, DMZ’s finished steel output fell by 29.0 percent to 30,000 mt, while its metallurgical coke production came to 119,100 mt, moving up by 9.7 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
