Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe has announced its financial and operational results for the first quarter this year.
In the given period, the company’s sales revenues fell by four percent to $229 million, while its EBITDA increased by 5.2 times to $79 million, both year on year.
In the first quarter, Interpipe’s crude steel output increased by 13 percent year on year to 184,000 mt, while its output of pipe products rose by 12 percent year on year to 105,000 mt. The company’s output of railway products in the given period decreased by 13 percent year on year to 20,000 mt.
The company’s crude steel, pipe and railway product sales decreased by 23 percent, 20 percent and 27 percent, respectively, all year on year, to 108,000 mt, 82,000 mt and 19,000 mt, respectively. The company said it is seeking opportunities to increase sales to North and South America, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.
