Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe has announced its financial and operational results for 2022.
In the given year, the company’s sales revenues fell by 13.1 percent to $981 million due to lower sales volumes, while its EBITDA contracted by 11 percent to $204 million, both year on year.
In 2022, Interpipe’s crude steel output decreased by 39 percent year on year to 595,000 mt, while its output of pipe products fell by 36 percent year on year to 393,000 mt. The company’s output of railway products in the given period decreased by 51 percent year on year to 84,000 mt.
The company’s crude steel, pipe and railway product sales decreased by 37 percent, 36 percent and 50 percent, respectively, all year on year, to 524,000 mt, 384,000 mt and 87,000 mt, respectively.
“Despite a very challenging operational environment and ongoing military actions, Interpipe succeeded in preserving its workforce and industrial assets. Unfortunately, we still have not managed to return to the pre-war output level. At the same time, we expect a sounder operational and financial performance in 2023,” Andriy Korotkov, CEO at Interpipe, said.
