The largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (NZF) has announced the recommissioning of its melting furnace No. 1.

The decision to recommission its melting furnace No. 1 is in line with NZF's plan to increase its production output in May.

As SteelOrbis reported in February 2009, NZF had by then restarted three of its melting furnaces, and thus was operating six furnaces producing ferromanganese and silicomanganese. In November 2008, NZF had stopped production output due to the lack of demand.
