Ukraine’s Sukha Balka commissions two new iron ore blocks

Ukrainian iron ore mining and processing complex Sukha Balka, a part of DCH Group, has announced that it has commissioned two new blocks at its Frunze and Druzhba iron ore mine in June this year.

The new blocks have total reserves of 157,000 mt and will help the company to operate without interruptions for four to five months.

Since the beginning of 2024, the company has commissioned seven new blocks with total reserves of 805,000 mt. In May this year, Sukha Balka commissioned a new block with reserves of 60,000 mt at its Yuvileyna iron ore mine, as SteelOrbis previously reported.
