UNESID: Spanish steel output increase from December to January

According to the Spanish steelmakers association UNESID, in January this year Spain’s steel production totaled 980,000 mt, up by 30.3 percent month on month and by 22.6 percent year on year.

In the given month, the Spanish steel industry recycled 761,000 mt of scrap to be used for new steel products, increasing by 34.9 percent compared to December and up by 13.7 percent year on year.
