Ural Steel constructs third casting machine at BF shop

Ural Steel, the steel producing subsidiary of Russian iron ore and steel producer Metalloinvest Holding (Metalloinvest), is continuing the construction of the third casting machine at its blast furnace shop.
 
The construction of its third casting machine will allow Ural Steel to expand its commercial pig iron production facilities and to increase its blast furnace shop's casting capacities from the current 50,000 mt per month to 75,000 mt.

The new casting machine is scheduled to be commissioned on August 1, 2009.
