Uraltrubprom’s pipe output declines 43.7 percent in Jan-July

During the first seven months of 2009, the Russian electric-welded pipe producer Urals Pipe Works (Uraltrubprom) decreased its output of pipes by 43.7 percent year on year to 73,248 mt.

In particular, during the period in question Uraltrubprom reduced its output of oil pipeline tubes by 8.1 percent year on year to 43,032 mt and its output of shaped pipes by 2.76 times to 30,216 mt.

Uraltrubprom's shipments of pipes in January-July this year decreased by 42.8 percent year on year to 73,279 mt, including 41,676 mt of oil pipeline tubes - down 9.2 percent, and 31,603 mt of shaped pipes - down 2.6 times.
