Uraltrubprom’s pipe output declines 44.5 percent in H1

In the first half of 2009, the Russian electric-welded pipe producer Urals Pipe Works (Uraltrubprom) decreased its output of pipes by 44.5 percent to 61,390 mt compared to the same period last year.

In particular, during the period in question Uraltrubprom reduced its output of oil pipeline tubes by 7.8 percent to 35,541 mt, and its output of shaped pipes by 64.3 percent to 25,849 mt.

Uraltrubprom's sales during the first half of 2009 decreased by 44.2 percent year on year to 61,254 mt, including 34,705 mt of oil pipeline tubes - down 9.4 percent, and 26,525 mt of shaped pipes- down 62.8 percent.

Uraltrubprom produces electric-welded round pipes of 159 mm to 426 mm diameter and of 4 mm to 10 mm wall thickness, and rectangular and square shaped pipes of 80 x 80 mm to 300 x 300 mm sizes with wall thickness of 3 mm to 12 mm for the oil and gas, construction, power and machine-building industries.
