Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending Dec. 15, 2023, the US rotary rig count decreased by three to 623.
The number of rigs drilling for gas remained level at 119, while the number of rigs drilling for oil decreased by two to 501. The overall US rig count is down by 153 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by nine to 185 rigs in the week ending Dec. 15. The Canadian rig count is down by 14 rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
