US and Canadian service center shipments increase in July

According to a report Friday from the Metals Service Center Institute, in July 2014, US service center steel shipments increased by 6.9 percent from July 2013. Steel product inventories increased 11.4 percent from July a year ago.

Meanwhile, Canadian service center shipments of steel products in July 2014 increased by 5.0 percent from July 2013. Steel product inventories increased 0.4 percent from July a year ago.
