On April 28, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the extension of the time limit for the preliminary results of the countervailing duty (CVD) administrative review on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from South Korea.

On August 17, 1993, the DOC published in the Federal Register the CVD order on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from South Korea. On August 1, 2008, the DOC published a notice of "Opportunity to Request Administrative Review'" for this CVD order. On September 30, 2008, the DOC initiated the administrative review for the 2008 period of review. The preliminary results for this review were originally due no later than May 4, 2009.

Since the DOC is still awaiting supplemental information from the South Korean government in this administrative review and as the DOC will require additional time to review and analyze this supplemental information and may issue further supplemental questionnaires, the DOC has extended the time limit for completion of the preliminary results by 120 days to not later than August 31, 2009.
