On September 22, the US International Trade Commission (US ITC) announced that it has instituted the third five-year reviews to determine whether revocation of the antidumping (AD) duty orders on carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings from Brazil, China, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand that are in force today would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury.
The US ITC has called on the interested parties to respond to its notice by submitting the necessary information before November 1, 2010, adding that comments on the adequacy of responses may be filed with the Commission by December 14, 2010.
Carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings are currently classified under subheading 7307.93.30 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).
