US mechanical tubing exports down 11.2 percent in September from August

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of mechanical tubing totaled 5,476 mt in September this year, down 11.2 percent from August and down 1.5 percent year on year. By value, mechanical tubing exports totaled $15.1 million in September compared to $17.3 million in the previous month and $17.7 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most mechanical tubing to Mexico in September with 2,949 mt compared to 3,537 mt in August and 3,020 mt in September last year. The other top destination was Canada with 2,137 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US mechanical tubing exports in September.
