Vale said on Tuesday iron ore transportation was halted on Monday for over 12 hours at its Carajas railway due to protests on the line.
According to the iron ore producer, the railway operations were interrupted between 6:30 am and 6:50 pm local time on Monday in the city of Maraba in the state of Para. Vale added its cargo railway has resumed operations.
Vale didn’t inform the quantities of the commodity it couldn’t transport due to the halt in the railway’s operations.
