South Korea’s Dongkuk Steel, a partner with Posco and Vale in Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem (CSP), expects a June start up for the Ceara state-based project, according to a media report.

The company forecasted earlier this year a May start for the co-owned Brazilian JV, but it said it “will now be able to have a stable supply of steel plates from the mill in Brazil, which is set to begin operation in June,” reported The Korea Herald.

Vale’s estimate for the mill to commence operations was H1 2016.
