Valin-Xigang Special Steel permanently shuts down electric furnace

Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel producer Jiangsu Valin-Xigang Special Steel Co., Ltd (Valin-Xigang Special Steel) announced that it permanently shut down a 100 mt steelmaking electric furnace on August 24. Accordingly, the company expects a shortfall of one million mt in its crude steel output for 2016 compared to the original output target for the year.
