France-based pipe manufacturer Vallourec has announced that it will supply line pipes for Brazilian state-owned energy company Petrobras’ Buzios oil field.

The order includes 346 kilometers of subsea line pipes for the risers and flowlines for phases six, seven and eight of the project in question, totaling 48,000 mt. Vallourec’s Germany plants will produce and deliver the orders.

The company has stated that it has already delivered equipment for the phase seven and that deliveries for phases six and eight will be completed by the year-end.

Located off the Brazilian coast, Buzios is one of the world’s largest deepwater fields. It accounts for 25 percent of Petrobras’ production alone.
