The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam has announced on October 24 that it has imposed antidumping duty on imports of certain coated steel products from South Korea and China.

The antidumping duty investigation into the products in question was started in October 2018 following the applications made by domestic producers. Vietnam’s steel industry is threatened with material injury by imports of these products from China and South Korea that have been found to be sold in Vietnam at less than normal value, the ministry stated.

Accordingly, the ministry has assigned antidumping duty rates of 2.53-34.27 percent for Chinese enterprises and 4.71-19.25 percent for South Korean enterprises.
