Vietnam’s Hoa Phat expands strip production capacity

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that Vietnam-based steel producer Hoa Phat Group has commissioned the second-phase expansion project at its Danieli QSP - Quality Strip Production plant.

With the project, the annual production capacity of the plant has been expanded from 3.5 million mt to 3.9 million mt of low- and medium-carbon, LC HSLA- and MC HSLA-family steel grades, with additional new equipment having been installed at the plant.

The plant was suspended for only 27 days and resumed production ahead of schedule.
