Vietnam’s Hoa Phat produces 10 millionth mt of HRC

Vietnam-based steel producer Hoa Phat Group has announced that this month it has produced its 10 millionth mt of hot rolled coil since first production in May 2020. In March this year, it had produced its ninth millionth mt of hot rolled coil since first production, as SteelOrbis previously reported.

Bui Van Tiep, director of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex, stated that the company supplied many types of HRC in different widths and thicknesses based on customer needs to the market.

The Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 project, which will have a high-quality HRC production capacity of 5.6 million per year, is under construction. With it coming online, Hoa Phat’s total production capacity will increase to about 9 million mt per year.
