Vietnam’s steel product output up 20.1 percent in January

The Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) has announced that in January this year the steel product output of its member firms reached 241,167 mt, rising by 20.1 percent compared to the same month last year, but down 4.2 percent from the previous month. 
 
In January, Vietnam’s domestic steel product sales amounted to 43,799 mt, up 33.1 year on year and down 6.1 percent month on month. Meanwhile, in the given month, the country’s steel exports totaled 661 mt, up 18.2 percent year on year and down 11.2 percent month on month.
