Brazilian wire rod exports increase in September

Wire rod exports from Brazil have reached 22,800 mt in September, against 6,400 mt in August, according to customs data.

The exports in September were from ArcelorMittal (22,700 mt at $792/mt), and Simec (100 mt at $685/mt), FOB conditions.

The destinations were the US (17,600 mt at $825/mt), and South American countries (5,200 mt at $678/mt).

Meanwhile, Brazil imported 41,600 mt of wire rod in September, against 28,200 mt in August.

The imports were from China (31,600 mt at $605/mt), Egypt (6,100 mt at $610/mt), Russia, (3,000 mt at $560/mt), the EU (700 mt at $1,008/mt), and Japan (200 mt at $1,128/mt), also FOB conditions.
